Tests & Diagnostics
We provide the following diagnostic tests, individually or in combination. All studies are reported by a consultant, with results sent to you and your GP. For fees or to book, please contact us.
01.
Heart
- Resting ECG (12-lead) — records the electrical activity of the heart.
- Echocardiogram — an ultrasound scan of the heart’s structure and function.
- Stress echocardiogram — an echocardiogram performed during exercise or with medication, to assess the heart under stress.
- Bubble contrast echocardiogram — an echocardiogram using agitated saline to look for a hole between the chambers of the heart.
- Exercise tolerance test — an ECG recorded during exercise on a treadmill.
- Ambulatory ECG monitoring — a wearable monitor recording heart rhythm over 24 hours to 7 days.
- Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring — blood pressure measured over 24 hours during normal daily activity.
- Tilt table test — assesses blood pressure and heart rate responses in patients with blackouts or dizziness.
- DVLA cardiac assessment — echocardiographic assessment of heart function for drivers required to provide evidence to the DVLA.

Lungs
- Spirometry— measures how much and how fast you can breathe out.
- Full lung function testing— detailed measurement of lung volumes and gas transfer.
- FeNO— a breath test measuring airway inflammation.
- Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET)— assesses how the heart and lungs perform during exercise.

Sleep
- Home sleep study— an overnight study carried out at home to assess snoring and suspected sleep apnoea.

Blood tests
- Blood tests— a range of laboratory tests available alongside your diagnostic tests.
